The faculty and staff of the Reference Department serve the Auraria Campus community by orienting new users to the Library; by facilitating the research and educational programs of various disciplines and undergraduate core curriculum; and by helping individuals understand and use print and electronic resources. The Reference faculty and staff also participate in collection development as subject specialists with various campus departments, and offer hours of reference and instruction to assist students, faculty, staff and members of the community in locating information worldwide.

The Reference Desk faculty and staff are trained to help you locate information in any subject area. Don't waste hours in the Library when you may just need some assistance getting started! Ask a librarian!

The Reference Collection at Auraria Library includes traditional print reference sources and a wide variety of electronic resources in online formats and CD-ROM, as well as customized Subject Guides for using these resources. The Reference Collection is located on the first floor of Auraria Library next to the Reference Desk, CD-ROM and public computer area.

Reference faculty and staff are available at the Reference Desk during open library hours, which vary according to the academic calendar.

The Reference Desk can be busy. If you find that you need more assistance than Reference Desk faculty and staff can offer you on your first trip, Please return later! We are happy to assist you! Also be aware that if your research requires more personalized assistance, you may contact one of our subject specialists.
