The faculty and staff of the Reference Department serve the Auraria
Campus community by orienting new users to the Library; by facilitating
the research and educational programs of various disciplines and
undergraduate core curriculum; and by helping individuals understand
and use print and electronic resources. The Reference faculty and
staff also participate in collection development as subject specialists
with various campus departments, and offer hours of reference and
instruction to assist students, faculty, staff and members of the
community in locating information worldwide.
The Reference Desk faculty and staff are trained to help
you locate information in any subject area. Don't waste
hours in the Library when you may just need some assistance
getting started! Ask
a librarian!
The Reference Collection at Auraria Library includes traditional
print reference sources and a wide variety of electronic
resources in online formats and CD-ROM, as well as customized
Subject Guides for using these resources. The Reference
Collection is located on the first floor of Auraria Library
next to the Reference Desk, CD-ROM and public computer area.
Reference faculty and staff are available at the Reference
Desk during open library
hours, which vary according to the academic calendar.
