Transformations @ your Library
A Message from the Interim University Librarian/Director

On behalf of the faculty and staff of the Auraria Campus Library I invite you to join us as we begin to focus on defining our mission, and which principles and values provide the foundation upon which we will better enrich the student learning experience and encourage exploration and discovery. During the next six months, the faculty and staff at the Auraria Campus Library will be working side-by-side with the Library’s Administrative Team consisting of Ellen Greenblatt, Associate University Librarian/Director for Access, Collections, and Technical Services; Cynthia Hashert, Interim Associate University Librarian/Director for Research and Acquisitions; and me, Teri Switzer, Interim University Librarian/Director, to develop an innovative, forward-looking 3-5 year strategic plan.

Throughout this process, we will continue as the Auraria Campus center of discovery and learning — a place where the students of UCDHSC-DDC, MSCD, and CCD can conduct research and develop life-long learning skills. Our librarians will continue to teach students how to critically analyze and integrate information into their studies. We will continue to be at the forefront of library information technology. And, we will continue to be central to the educational processes of the three academic institutions we serve.

Teri SwitzerThis is an exciting time for the Library and I invite you to visit our website at http://library.auraria.edu for the latest information on the transformations and events that are taking place in the Library, and how you can become an integral part of them. Thank you for your continued support of our programs and projects.

Teri Switzer
Interim University Librarian/Director
