Auraria Library serves a unique community consisting of three diverse
institutions: an urban community college, the largest baccalaureate-only
college in the nation, and a metropolitan university providing both
undergraduate education and a variety of graduate and professional
programs.
The Library is dedicated to providing an environment which
stimulates and nourishes the growth of ideas. This is accomplished
through collections and services that support the curriculum,
ranging from vocational training to doctoral programs.
Auraria Library aspires to provide the best of both traditional
and electronic information resources and services.
The Library supports the research and service requirements
of all faculty and the outreach mission of each of the three
institutions.
The Library provides a supportive and positive environment
that values the dedication, ability, responsibility of each
faculty and staff member, and dedicates itself to the continuing
development of these qualities in every employee.
Auraria Library is committed to excellence through inclusiveness
in order to become a more diverse community of faculty and
staff. Diversity ensures that a broad array of experiences
and worldviews will inform and shape services and resources
at the Library. The Library is also committed to recruiting
and retaining individuals of diverse backgrounds and promoting
their educational and professional advancement.
Auraria Library is the heart of the academic community. Through
its collections, services, and staffing, the Library embodies
the spirit of education, research, knowledge, and life-long
learning.
