How to Request Materials from PASCAL

Materials housed at the PASCAL storage facility display with that location in Skyline, our catalog. Example:

PASCAL record

Once you have found a PASCAL item in Skyline, click the Request button at the top of the page.

  • If there is only one volume you will be asked for your name and student/campus ID.
  • If there is more than one volume, you will be asked to specify a volume first, then asked for your name and student/campus ID.

If you are successful in placing the hold, a confirmation message will appear.

If you are unsuccessful:

  • Check your patron record for validation or blocks. To do this go to your library account on the Library homepage, fill in the requested information, and examine your record for blocks or incorrect information. You may also call the Circulation Department at 303-556-2639 and they will check your record. For your protection, correcting information in your record, or the payment of fines, may only be completed in person at the circulation/check out desk with a student/campus ID. Library hours
  • If your record is correct and clear of blocks, place the request via email, aurcirc@cudenver.edu. Please include your name and student/campus ID, and the call number information (and specific volume information, if applicable) for the item you want to request.

Requests from PASCAL are usually delivered in two business days, and will be available at the circulation/check out desk. You should receive a notice advising you that the material has arrived. You can also check to see if you have any items on the "hold shelf" by checking your library account. PASCAL requests are kept on our hold shelf for 14 days. If the material hasn't been picked up in 14 days, it is returned to the storage facility.

Materials from PASCAL follow the same check out rules as materials from the Library. If you can check out a book for 28 days, a PASCAL book will also check out to you for 28 days. Bound journals from PASCAL circulate for 7 days to most patrons.

Questions: please contact the circulation/check out desk at aurcirc@cudenver.edu, or 303-556-2639.
