  • MSS-029. Samuel Menin Collection

    Samuel Menin is a Denver attorney who spent his lifetime in legal practice. Mr. Menin has been particularly active in cases relating to civil liberties and constitutional law. Presently this collection consists of scrapbooks documenting many of Mr. Menin's cases.

  • MSS-030. Goddard Correspondence Collection

    This collection documents the early aviation career of Glen Goddard of Boulder, Colorado. The letters describe various aircraft used in his training and follow Goddard through several professional moves.

  • MSS-031. Byron Johnson Collection

    Dr. Byron Johnson has been an economics professor, a Department of State official, a University of Colorado Regent, A U.S. Congressman and an RTD Board member. This collection consists of scattered State Department files, papers and files relating to economic topics, Board of Regent items, church affiliated groups, and materials relating to his Congressional office days.

  • MSS-032. Sagebrush Rebellion

    Sagebrush Rebellion can be applied to four different movements but generally applies to the Wilderness Lands Sagebrush Rebellion of 1970. A movement started in an attempt to gain land public land back from the federal government. This collection consists of correspondence, notebooks, newspaper clippings, and numerous magazine articles.

  • MSS-033. Minoru Yasui Collection

    Minoru Yasui is a prominent member of the Denver Japanese-American community who has long been active in community service. In addition to practicing law and serving on various Denver city committees, Mr. Yasui is National Chairman of the Japanese-American Citizens League Reparation Committee. The Yasui Collection contains records pertaining to his private legal practice, his life long involvement with issues relating to Japanese- Americans, his work with the Denver community Relations Commission and numerous publications.   • MSS-034. Thomas Nast Political Cartoon Collection

    The Thomas Nast Cartoon Collection contains approximately 150 political cartoons drawn by Thomas Nast for "Harper's Weekly". These original cartoons have been cut from the pages of that newspaper. They were collected by Elicia and Lee Wolf.

  • MSS-035. William E. Doyle Papers

    Judge William E. Doyle is remembered for his controversial 1974 decision to desegregate Denver Public Schools through busing. A major part of the collection are his opinions from 1959 to 1985. Included also are personal and professional papers from 1927 to 1987.

  • MSS-036. The Elliot Wager Collection

    Created by retired MSC professor Elliot Wager, this collection documents the activities of the copywriter profession. Included are radio scripts from 1940s Denver, newspaper clippings, and correspondence.

  • MSS-037. American Association of University Women of Colorado Collection


    Founded in 1898 as the Colorado Branch of the Association of Collegiate Alumnae (ACA) to increase enrollment of women in colleges and universities. When the ACA merged with the Southern Association of College Women in 1921 to form the American Association of University Women, the Colorado Branch was named the Denver Branch. Between 1915 and 1976, 31 additional branches were established statewide, which formed the Colorado Division. In 1991 the Colorado Division was renamed the American Association of University Women of Colorado, although it is more commonly referred to as the Colorado AAUW by its members. The AAUW of Colorado has been active in public health services, public school finance, services to the elderly, equal rights, and women's studies research.

    "Mike" Michaelson taught at Colorado State University. His varied published materials include articles, fiction, criticism, and poetry. The collection includes both typescripts and published materials.

    The Roederer Collection is comprised of photographs, articles, reports financial records, correspondence, and other material relating to the Roederer family and their children's attendance at St. Elizabeth's school in Denver, CO at the turn of the century.

  • MSS-044. National Municipal League Records Collection

    The collection includes the records and research files of the National Municipal League from the early 1900s through the 1980s. Extensive subject files and geographic files document activities of the League through its involvement in municipal policy, state constitutional revision, and reapportionment. Included are all publications of the League, including its renowned series of model statements for charters and constitutions.

  • MSS-053. All-America Cities Award Program Records Collection

    The All-America Cities Award program is sponsored by the Nation Civic League and (at present) Allstate Insurance Company. This popular program, which began in 1949, awards citizen teamwork in ten local communities each year. To be selected as an All-America City, a community must show noteworthy accomplishments though continuing citizen/city government participation. This collection contains information on the administration of the awards program, and profiles the winning communities.
