The Friends of Auraria Library is an association formed
in 1976 to promote the development of Auraria Library as
a center for learning, study, and research for the students
and faculty of the University of Colorado at Denver, Metropolitan
State College of Denver, and the Community College of Denver.
The Friends of Auraria Library's ongoing objectives are:
- To promote awareness of and good will toward Auraria Library
on the campus, in the metropolitan area, and in the region;
and
- To increase Library resources through contributions, solicitations,
grants, bequests, and gifts of books and other appropriate
materials.
Friends Membership Benefits
- Check out up to 75 items from the Auraria Library, for 28 days, with one renewal. There are no holds or recall privileges (public patrons may check out 6 items for a 21-day checkout period with one renewal)
- Obtain a discount of 50% off the public patron fee when utilizing Information Delivery/ Interlibrary Loan. Non-campus users usually pay $10 per request.
- Receive a subscription to Friends Update, the Friends quarterly newsletter, which features articles on Library holdings and special offers for members only.
- Invitations to Friends Only Events and to Library functions.
- Vote on the Slate of Officers for the Friends Executive Board.
