building resources enhancing access

Your gift will benefit all the library users, including students from the community College of Denver, Metropolitan State College of Denver, and the University of Colorado at Downtown Denver and Health Sciences Center.

The Auraria Library serves the Community College of Denver, the Metropolitan State College of Denver, and the University of Colorado at Downtown Denver and Health Sciences Center. With approximately 38,000 students and 1,800 faculty, it is the largest campus population in Colorado. We support the largest number of academic degree programs in the state. As the only publicly funded academic library in Denver, Auraria Library also serves community users. Compared to other libraries of our size, our funding ranks among the lowest. To help compensate, Auraria Library has worked to build alliances and partnerships to maximize resources and access.

VALUE OF THE ENHANCED RESOURCES AND ACCESS

Books, journals, newspapers, CD's, videos and online resources are the core value of the Library. In the digital age, the Library and Media Center provides remote-site access to an increasing number of online resources. The quality of our resources impacts upon a large population of users for many years.
