Who is in charge of this Library?
Auraria Library is administered by the Downtown Denver Campus of
the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences
Center. Teri Switzer is Interim University Librarian/Director.
Who can use the Auraria Library?
Auraria Library serves the students from Community College
of Denver, Metropolitan State College of Denver and the
Downtown Campus of the University of Colorado at Denver
and Health Sciences Center. Visitors are welcome. Auraria
Library is open to the public for use of its collections,
with some restrictions.

Where is the Library located?
Auraria Library is located in the center of the Auraria
Campus on the west side of Cherry Creek/Speer Blvd. It is
a white metal and glass building. Campus

How do I get there?
The Auraria Campus is bound on the east by Speer Blvd.,
on the north by the Auraria Parkway, and on the south by
W. Colfax Ave.. Both 7th St. and 5th St. will take you into
the parking lots on the west side of campus. For specific
directions from your location, we suggest you use either
Mapquest, Yahoo
Maps, or a mapping program of your choice.
Where do I park to come to the
Library?
Parking prices range from $1.75 to $5.00 (Tivoli lot).

Where are the quiet study areas?
The second floor is reserved for QUIET study and research.
Cell phones and loud talking are prohibited. The first floor
is for small group study where cell phones and conversations
are allowed.
How do students reserve a study
room?
Students can reserve a study room Monday-Friday 8:00 am
-5:00 pm in the Administration Offices. Evenings and weekends
are first-come-first-served unless you made a reservation
during the business week.
Where are textbooks located in the
Library?
Auraria Library does not buy copies of textbooks, but patrons
can check the Skyline
catalog to see if we may own a title that was donated
to us.
Where can a patron complain about
a library user?
Complaints should be brought to the Administration Offices
Monday through Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm. Evening and weekend
complaints should be directed to either the Reference Desk
or Circulation Staff.
Does this Library have an ATM
?
Not at this time. There are ATM’s in the Tivoli,
South and North Classrooms.
Where can I get change?
You can get change at CLICKS! Copy Center during their
hours of operation, which differ from library hours of
operation. The Copy Center is located in the southwest
corner of the building on the first floor. You can also
get change at Circulation for fine payments and copy cards
if CLICKS! is closed.
