Sketch drawing of early Auraria, camp site for Native Americans.

The CU Denver 4244/5244 - History Museums, Exhibits, and Education class recently took on the task of digitally telling the history of Auraria. Students from Dr. Rebecca A. Hunt’s class explored resources in Auraria Library’s Special Collections for historical information and images to complete three projects.

Students redesigned an exhibit in St. Catejan’s Church, recorded podcasts for historical Auraria campus walks and created a series of online exhibits tracing Auraria’s history from the earliest Auraria native peoples.

The online exhibits can be found at: http://www.historyincolorado.org/auraria-history
