You may have noticed signs around the library with these square black and white bar codes on them:
These are called QR codes, and they contain helpful information about the library such as the Library's hours, links to building maps, to renew your checkouts, or to access our Ask A Librarian service, where you can get help via email, IM, or 24/7 via chat.
To use the codes, you'll need a phone or mobile device with a QR reader. Using the QR reader software, scan (i.e., take a picture of) the code, and the information contained in the code can be stored in your mobile device for quick reference later.
