Auraria Campus

All current students, faculty, and staff of Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, University of Colorado, Denver, and Auraria Higher Education Center have access to library resources. You can borrow circulating material, use computers in the library, and access library resources online from off campus. 

Alumni

As an Auraria alumni, you can check out 6 circulating materials and use library computers. Alumni can also gain off-campus access to Annual Reviews, Adam Matthews, Project Muse, Sage Journals, Philosophy Documentation Center - Poiesis, and CQ Researcher. Contact the alumni office of your institution to establish alumni privileges.

Computer Use Only

Any library user may register for a computer use only account by showing a form of ID. With this account you will be able to use the computer for 30 minutes per day. This account offers no other library privileges.

The CU System and Other Colleges and Universities

Students and employees from other Colorado colleges and universities may borrow circulating material and use library computers. Bring your school picture ID to register as an academic guest.

Emeritus Faculty

Emeritus Faculty are granted full Auraria Faculty privileges and are registered with the Emeritus affiliation after providing paperwork to the Ask Us desk from an Auraria Institution Dean or Director.

Prospective Students

If you are visiting Auraria as a prospective student, you can visit the Ask Us Desk to get a 1-day pass for library computers.

Public

Colorado residents may register for library access by showing a Colorado photo ID. Public users may borrow up to 6 books/DVDs. Computer use is limited to 30 minutes per day and may borrow phone chargers from the Ask Us desk.

Retired Faculty

Retired Auraria faculty and staff from CCD, MSU Denver, and CU Denver receive no distinct Auraria Library privileges unless you are considered Emeritus faculty by your respective institution. If you continue to reside in the State of Colorado, you can receive public user privileges.

Visiting Scholars and Faculty Associates

Visiting scholars and faculty associates will need to work with their host department to obtain institutional credentials. You can borrow circulating material, use computers in the library, and access library resources online from off campus.

To obtain institutional credentials, contact:

  • MSU - users need to contact their sponsoring department and request affiliate user access. Sponsoring departments will need to submit a ticket with MSU ITS that includes name/s of researchers that need library access.
  • UCD – users need to fill out the CU Denver sponsored user form to request affiliate user access.
  • CCD - users should contact Claudia Forbes to request affiliate user access.
