- WorldCat Local is a so-called "NextGen" library catalog, which enhances and brings exciting features to the Skyline catalog
- The search box with tabs under "Start My Research!" on the Library's home page provides access, or you can go directly to http://aurarialibrary.worldcat.org
- Materials in the Auraria Library, as well as Propector (a consortium catalog of 23 libraries in Colorado and Wyoming), and libraries worldwide
- Links to full-text content in online Library materials
- Multiple formats: books, journal articles, DVDs/video recordings, CDs/audio recordings, and more!
- Allows students, faculty, and staff to write reviews of items in the catalog, tag and rate them, and create reading lists
- Supports marking, saving, emailing, and exporting citations
- Integrates item request/delivery options from Propector and interlibrary loan
- Provides a multi-language search interface with an "Amazon.com" look and feel
What's not in WorldCat Local at Auraria?
- As of Fall 2009, most of the Library's 250+ online databases are not included.
- This feature, however, is under development, and databases will be added as they become available.
