- Wireless printing from MACs or VISTA machines is NOT yet supported by our software. Also you must be using the IE browser to print from wireless.
Set up the printer by running the Thin Print Client
To print to the Auraria Library printer from a laptop you must run the Thin Print Client (TPC). The TPC will be installed on your PC and removed when you shutdown your PC. Browse to http://library.auraria.edu/external/tpcLauncher/ and follow the online directions:

After clicking on the link you will see the following window. Select Open the runTPC.vbs file.

You may see Windows Security Warnings as below asking if you want to run runTPC.vbs, select Run for each warning.

You will be presented with an End User’s License Agreement (EULA) and are required to Accept or Decline. This may take 30 seconds to display. If you decline, the TPC will not start.
If you have Windows Firewall on you may see the following Security Alert. You must Unblock to print.

You will now have an LPT:One Thin Print Client window minimized to the task bar which indicates that the TPC application is running.

Once the TPC is running, you will find that the virtual printer driver that has been added to your Windows Printers folder as shown below.
Printing
To print to the Host Page Counter simply follow the same process as is used for regular printing.
Select the AurariaLibrary Printer from within the application you are printing from and follow the dialog instructions.

After you click print, you will be presented with a dialog that reports the number of pages to print, cost per page, total cost for job, and any additional information.

After you click OK you will be prompted to enter a User ID, this is the ID that you will use at the Release Station to get your print.

You will be presented with a dialog that reports the number of pages to print, cost per page, total cost for job, and any additional information.
This is your confirmation of delivery.
Uninstall the TPC
You can simply shut down your system and the TPC will close automatically
or
to stop the application, click on the minimized window in the task bar. The window will become maximized and click on the Stop Thin Print Client button.
