On 12 April 2010, I gave a presentation titled "Generation X Librarians: Leading from the Middle, with Nina McHale and Lisa Carlucci Thomas. Our talk comprised a portion of Computers in Libraries' "Management 2.0" track.
Nina opened our presentation by discussing Gen X's personal history with technology -- particularly in terms technologies used during childhood and young adulthood. I followed with a discussion of Gen X librarians' strengths in various public services settings. Lisa concluded by discussing Gen X's roles in library management and leadership.
