Basics of Academic Search Premier Plus

Academic Search Premier Plus is a multidisciplinary database. This means that it has materials from many different subject areas. You can get academic/scholarly, magazine, and newspaper articles there. This tutorial will show you how to enter the database and set up a basic search.

  1. Go to Auraria Library's home page: http://library.auraria.edu.
  2. Click on Databases A-Z, on the left side of the page.
  3. Click on Academic Search Premier Plus, in the upper left.
  4. If you are off campus, you will need to log in now. Enter your name and ID number exactly as they appear on your student ID card.
  5. Enter keywords related to your topic.
  6. Enter publication dates (this is optional).
  7. You will get a list of articles with your keywords and dates. If you need a certain type of material (such as academic journal articles), click on the link for that type of material.
  8. Remember you can always ask a librarian for help!
