Delicious is a Web site that saves your bookmarks online. You can save and view your bookmarks from any computer. Auraria Library's reference department has an account, which you can see at http://delicious.com/aurariaref. This tutorial will teach you several ways of saving and viewing bookmarks. It does not cover some skills such as tagging. If you have questions on anything you see in the tutorial, please contact Karen or Gayle.
Saving bookmarks
- Method 1: If you're on a computer at the reference desk, click the "tag" button at the top of your browser (must be Firefox or Internet Explorer). Fill out the tags and notes sections in the pop-up box.
- Method 2: If you have your own Delicious account, you send bookmarks from your account to aurariaref. Add this tag: for:aurariaref Note that your bookmark will not appear immediately.
- Method 3: Go to http://delicious.com. Log in as aurariaref. (Ask Karen, Gayle, or Lorrie if you need the password.) Click on "Save a bookmark" in the upper right and follow the instructions.
Viewing bookmarks
- Method 1: Go to http://delicious.com/aurariaref. You can do this on any computer.
- Method 2: If you're on a computer at the reference desk, click the button with a checkerboard pattern along the top of your browser.
