Electronic books, or "ebooks," are entire books that have been scanned. You can read them on your computer whether you're inside the library or on the other side of the world. This tutorial will show you how to find and use ebooks that Auraria Library provides.
To find and use an ebook:
- Go to the library's home page. Do a title or keyword search.
- Look for links with "electronic resource" next to the title. Click on the title if you're interested.
- Click "Connect to the ebook."
- If you're off campus, you will get a pop-up box. Enter your name and ID number exactly as they appear on your student ID card.
- Click on titles of chapters (on the left) to view particular chapters.
- Click "previous" or "next" (in the upper right)to move page by page.
- Search for terms in the ebook (in the lower right). Click "View this page" to see a particular reference to the term.
