ScienceDirect is a great database for obtaining information in the sciences. In this tutorial you will learn how to do basic article searches in ScienceDirect. Steps are listed below the video.

  1. On the Library’s home page, place your mouse over Research Tools. Click on Databases.
  2. On the “Search by title” box, type Sciencedirect. Click Go.
  3. Click on Science Direct.
  4. Select the Journal tab.
  5. Enter keywords, select article and publication dates, and click Search.
  6. Narrow down your results by entering additional keywords.
  7. Click on the title of an article to see the abstract.
  8. Click on PDF full-text to get your article.
  9. Use icons at the top of the article to print or save a copy.
