Auraria Library has been happy to partner with high school groups in the past. Due to the spread of COVID-19, however, we are limiting access to our facility to the students, faculty, and staff of the Auraria Campus. Additionally, we cannot provide off-campus access to our online resources to users not affiliated with the campus. We recommend that IB Program Coordinators or other high school teachers and librarians reach out to Denver Public Library to learn more about their collections of resources that are available electronically.
We apologize for this inconvenience, and hope we can welcome you back to our library once it is safe to do so.
Auraria Library successfully partners with local high schools to develop exceptional learning experiences for students working on research projects. Visiting the library and making use of its resources will help high school students with their current assignments and prepare them for success in later studies.
Sessions at the library can be booked using this online form. While we will make an effort to accommodate specific dates and times, we do appreciate flexibility as we want to ensure adequate space and staff to accommodate your group. Generally speaking, Fridays are the best days to visit.
Once the session has been scheduled, you will be contacted by library personnel to collect the information necessary to create guest accounts for students. These accounts will enable students to:
- use library computers
- access online databases while in the library
- borrow print materials
Prior to the visit, we also encourage teachers and students to review the library’s General Use Policy.
