Brought to you by The Society for Auraria Library, a new group for supporters of the library, this event features Krista Marks, Student Archivist Assistant in Special and Digital Collections, and Wes Brown, a CU Boulder alumnus, to hear about the fascinating history of the Auraria Campus through maps and drawings. This presentation will take us through a retrospective journey that highlights the campus as it is now and looks back at the community through the 1800's using a combination of materials from the Auraria Library’s Special and Digital collections and maps from Wes' personal collection.

Auraria Creates: A Celebration of Campus Scholarly and Creative Work is the Auraria Library’s second annual recognition of the amazing work done on the Auraria Campus in 2023. This year the library has expanded the celebration with three events to feature different parts of the Auraria community: The Society Spotlight, Faculty Showcase, and the Student Spotlight.

Published or edited a book in 2023? The library strives to purchase all books written or edited by faculty! Please fill out our Recommend a Purchase form to help us fill in the gaps in our collection and keep you on file for future celebration invitations.
