Featured Presenters 

Jasmine Harris, professor and chair of Africana studies, MSU Denver: Black Women, Ivory Tower: Revealing the Lies of White Supremacy in American Education, her pioneering book exploring what it means to be a Black woman in higher education.  

Elizabeth Pugliano, senior instructor of visual arts, CU Denver: History, Practice and Pedagogy: Empathic Engagements in the Visual Arts, an anthology co-edited by Pugliano, explores historical, practical, and pedagogical empathy through works of art.  

Dennis Rudnick, assistant professor of elementary education, MSU Denver: On how “divide and conquer” strategies operate in the U.S. public education system.  

Sandy Guinn, professor of art, CCD: My Sketchpad, her recently published resource to help students overcome barriers to extemporaneous drawing and creativity.
