Need a book, article, or other item that the Auraria Library doesn't own? Find it through Prospector, our partnership with other Colorado libraries, or from another library through interlibrary loan (ILLiad).

Prospector

You have access through Prospector to 30 million books, journals, DVDs, CDs, videos, and other materials held in academic, public, and special libraries in Colorado and Wyoming. If the item you wanted isn't available in Prospector, place a request for it via Interlibrary loan.

Estimated delivery: 2 to 4 days

How: Search for your item in Prospector. Click the "Request this item" link for each item you would like. Select Auraria Library and enter your name and ID number. You will receive an email when the item is ready for you to pickup at Ask Us in Auraria Library.

Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad)

The Interlibrary Loan service allows Auraria campus students, faculty, and staff to request books, articles and other materials not owned, or not available, at Auraria Library.  The Library taps a nation-wide network to borrow needed items.

In-Person

  • Research Tutoring
    Research tutoring is for quick questions, tips, and strategies on finding and evaluating information resources.  Research Tutoring is located in the Knowledge Market on the first floor and is available Monday–Thursday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. 

  • Research Consultations
    Research consultations are for in-depth and lengthy discussions about research questions. Please use Schedule a Research Consultation Form to request an appointment.  Due to the level of preparation needed, appointments should be made 48 hours in advance. If you need immediate help, please use Research Tutoring.
