Role in the Library
Michelle's role in the library as the Access Services Manager is responsible for developing and managing circulation processes, and managing both the Ask Us Collection and Course Reserve Collection. She continuously collects data to monitor and recommend improvements in all of these areas. Her favorite part of her job is helping Auraria campus students, faculty, and staff by answering questions or anything else they may need at the Ask Us desk.

Michelle has worked in academic and research libraries for over 8 years in various roles, beginning her library career in Jacksonville, Florida. After starting her graduate program for Information and Library Science, Michelle moved to Denver and began her role as a Reference and Instruction graduate assistant at Red Rocks Community College Library, where she worked for 2 years. Upon graduation, she worked at Regis University's Dayton Memorial Library as a temporary Reference and Instruction Librarian before joining the Auraria Library in March of 2021. Michelle enjoys working with new technologies and exploring their uses in libraries and education.
