Featured Database: Denver Business Journal (DBJ)

You can use databases to easily find organized collections of articles, journals, news, streaming videos, primary sources, data, and more!

  • This month, we highlight one of our new business resources, the Denver Business Journal. The University of Colorado Denver's Business School provides funding to support access to the Denver Business Journal.

What’s in it?

  • The Denver Business Journal (DBJ) features local business news, breaking news alerts, newsletters, business intelligence, data, and local business networking about Denver and surrounding regions.

Why should you use it?

  • The Denver Business Journal provides local insight into business happenings in the Denver region and discusses how other factors and issues are affecting Denver businesses. Not only does it provide news about the business world, but it highlights events, best places to work, 40 under 40, and outstanding women in business.  You can also access lists including wealth management firms, venture capital firms, veteran owned business, Colorado’s largest ski areas, and small business loan recipients.

Who should use it?

  • The Denver Business Journal would be most interesting and useful to business students, faculty, and staff; however, anyone interested in Denver business, including entrepreneurs, business owners, people new to the area, and investors would benefit from its use.

Why use a database?

When you use a specific database, rather than a search engine or discovery tool, you often can find more relevant sources. For example, subject databases include sources about that subject only, rather than a general search engine or discovery tool that includes information about everything. This way you don’t have to wade through thousands of irrelevant results!
