You can use databases to easily find organized collections of articles, journals, news, streaming videos, primary sources, data, and more!

  • Here’s one of our business databases that will transform the way you look at market data.

Morningstar Investing Center

What’s in it?

Morningstar Investing Center offers access to comprehensive data and independent analysis on thousands of investments, including stocks, mutual funds, closed-end funds, and exchange-traded funds.

Why should you use it?

Morningstar Investing Center provides quick access to market data across the globe. It consolidates market information into articles, tables, and graphs and provides summaries of different sectors. Morningstar allows you to compare companies’ earnings, value, sales, and yield and export the data. You can also view 529 plan information by state in the 529 Plan Center. The Investing Classrooms has videos and articles explaining stocks, funds, portfolios, bonds, ETFs, retirement, planning, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing.

Who should use it?

Business students, faculty, and staff, particularly those in finance and accounting, will find Morningstar useful for their courses, teaching, and research. Individuals interested in the global market may also find Morningstar useful.

Why use a database?

When you use a specific database, rather than a search engine or discovery tool, you often can find more relevant sources. For example, subject databases include sources about that subject only, rather than a general search engine or discovery tool that includes information about everything. This way you don’t have to wade through thousands of irrelevant results!
