Interlibrary Loan

If you are an Auraria campus user looking for an item that is not available at Auraria or through Prospector, you can request materials from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan.  The loan period and renewal options are determined by the lending library. Articles are electronically accessed from the your ILLiad account. Other materials are picked up from the Ask Us Desk. Renewals are at the discretion of the lending library, so results will vary; however, all renewal requests should be made at least two working days before the item is due to allow the lending library time to process the renewal request.

Reference materials are for use in the library only. Reference materials (excludes materials at the Ask Us Desk) may be checked out only to Auraria campus faculty for a 4-hour or overnight period.

Magazines and journals are for use in the library only. Current and bound issues of periodicals can be checked out only by Auraria Campus faculty for a 24-hour time period. To check out a periodical, please obtain a request form from the Ask Us Desk.

Course Reserves

Course Reserves provide convenient access to required reading materials selected by faculty. Reserves may include books, online articles, DVD’s, and other items required for class assignments. Most reserve items are available for two hours to ensure availability for many users. Check if your professor has materials on this collection.

Film and Video

Students, staff, and faculty may borrow DVDs for 7 days, this collection is located on the first floor. Faculty may book DVDs in advance for classroom viewing by placing the item on hold.

Ask Us Collection

You can find a variety of technology and anatomical items to support your course work at the first floor Ask Us Desk, such as anatomical models, skeletons, graphing calculators, laptops, and more. The loan period on these items varies from two hours to two weeks. These items are only available to current Auraria Campus students, faculty, and staff. Visit the Ask Us Collection.
