Pride Month is celebrated every year in June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan, a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States. This commemorative month recognizes how lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals impacted history locally, nationally, and internationally. Today, celebrations include parades, picnics, parties, workshops, symposiums, and concerts, and Pride events draw millions around the world. Celebrate Pride with us by checking out our LGBTQIA+ books that highlight and celebrate this community through pictures.
