Access User Services
Student Assistant II

Ask Us Student Assistants provide high-quality customer service at the Auraria Library’s main service point—the Ask Us Desk. They serve as the face of the library for our users (students, faculty, public, and staff). Ask Us Student Assistants must perform various tasks like registering accounts for library users, checking in and out library materials, placing holds and requests for Prospector, and Pascal items. In addition, they promote a friendly, and welcoming atmosphere when conducting these activities to promote a positive environment for both their colleagues and library users.

Additionally, Ask Us Student Assistants provide concierge services to library users—communicating high quality information about library and campus services. They also retrieve and file materials, perform data entry, and assist with maintaining a clean and user-friendly facility. Students help clear the building and straighten-up public spaces and assist with other projects such as sorting books and looking for missing book items.
