What is the Data to Policy Project?

The Data to Policy Project (D2P) is an initiative to engage students with their community’s needs through course-based assignments, which culminate into data-driven policy proposals to local governments and agencies. D2P participants will explore issues in any topic of their choosing that satisfies the mission of using public data for public good. They will develop evidence-based policies to address the identified problems. Teams present their proposals at the D2P Symposium, to which local lawmakers, administrators, community residents and other stakeholders in local issues are invited, thus building a bridge between these project proposals and where they can be applied. Participants will be required to communicate their ideas to a general audience in a compelling way, while judges evaluate proposals.

Please suggest questions that student researchers in the Data to Policy Project might tackle to improve our community.
